2011-1 Graduate School Student Association Support Program
Hello. We are the Graduate School Student Association Education Department.
To actively encourage the spontaneous research and active learning of students, the Student Association is funding a small amount of aid. Please apply as described below. The applicants will go through an examination and the Individual Research students to be selected will be posted later on our website.
? Qualifications
Yonsei University Regular Graduate School Masters and Doctors course individuals or 2 or less students working together who are attending this semester.
(Special Graduate School, Specialty Graduate School, and students taking time off are excluded.)
* If you do not apply within the application period or if your required documents are incomplete, you will automatically be excluded.
? Application Deadline and How to Apply
1. Fill out the Application Form and Apply
2. Document Examination
3. (After passing the document examination) Write a Thesis
4. Thesis Examination
5. (If you get at least "Published after Revision") Scholarship granted
6. Published in the Yonsei Collection of Papers
Application Deadline : March 21(Monday)~March 27, 2011(Sunday) by Midnight

Document Examination Result Announcement : March 31, 2011(Thursday)
Final Thesis Submission : May 29, 2011(Sunday) Midnight
? Documents to Submit
1. 1 Individual Education Application (Download Form)
2. 1 Recommendation from your Supervising Professor (Download Form)
- "There must be a signature or seal from the supervisor."
If there is neither, you will be disqualified.
3. 1 Research Proposal (A4 More than 2000 letters)
- The "topic of your research" cannot be altered afterwards.
4. 1 Written Pact (1 for each student if you are working together)
5. 1 Certificate of Studentship (After March, 2011)
* 2, 4, 5 should be turned in by hand or scanned and sent as a PDF file
** 1, 3 should be filled out as a Hangul file
*** All files should be named 'Your name_Document name'
(Example: Kathy Kim_Application Form , Kathy Kim_Recommendation)
? Amount Funded
The Funding Amount depends on the results of the examination and the number of applicants.
? Obligations
1. Your previous Thesis for a degree or Research Topics that have been presented before will not be accepted.
2. Your Thesis must be written in the form that the Student Association has assigned.
3. You are expected to participate in the "Yonsei Graduate School Academic Seminar" which is scheduled in November if requested, and to present and share the details of your Research and Academic Activities.
4. The final result must be submitted in the form of a mini-thesis or Thesis by May 29(Sunday). (Deadline must be complied)
5. The submitted Research Results will not be returned, and if you publish your Research in another Academic Journal, you must include the information below:

6. From 2011, the funding for Individual Learning will be given based on your grade from the results of the examination.
7. If you do not meet your Obligations you cannot receive your scholarship, and if you have already received it, you must return it. Also, there will be disadvantages in all future Student Association Support Programs.
* There have been a few changes in the Obligations beginning 2011 so please check every detail carefully.
** You cannot apply for both the Individual Learning and the Seminar Team at the same time.
