>Information about Benefits for Foreign Students from Health Mutual-aid Association
>
>Foreign students who are not beneficiaries of Korea’s national health insurance must use hospitals designated by the Yonsei University Health Mutual-aid Association when necessary to receive benefits. When paying medical fees to hospitals, students must present their student ID card. They should then bring their receipts for their medical services to the office of the association to receive a 30% reduction as an outpatient and a 20% reduction if inpatient service was necessary. The Yonsei University Health Mutual-aid Association does not offer deductions for medical treatments not covered by Korea’s national health insurance. Foreign students should be aware that it is mandatory to use a designated hospital to be eligible for a deduction.
